A regional leftist newspaper in Iowa was forced to apologize after using a scandalous and outrightly racist political cartoon with anti-Republican overtones to attack GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
The nasty anti-Republican cartoon trying to ridicule Ramaswamy, but backfiring heavily, was published by The Quad-City Times. It was simultaneously “racist, nasty, and incorrect,” Hot Air reports.
Ramaswamy himself called out the Iowa newspaper in a tweet. He noted the paper could publish whatever it wanted, but that it was “still shameful.”
The 2024 presidential hopeful added he was meeting with grassroots conservatives nationwide. He didn’t experience the kind of racist bigotry that he’d been seeing from the left.
The cartoon shows Ramaswamy speaking at a campaign event with only three men in the audience. One of them is asking for his birth certificate, the other one calls him a “Muslim,” and the third one orders him to get him a slushy.
The report points out that Ramaswamy is actually a Hindu, and not a Muslim – not that this even matters, as anybody could run for president in the United States which prides itself on religious freedom.
It is noted that conservatives celebrate religious freedom and an individual’s religious rights, more so than anybody else.
The Hot Air report stresses further that the cartoonist who drew the nasty anti-GOP comic must be suffering “emotional distress from” the days of Barack Obama.
It also observes that the Marxist-Commie cartoonist went after Vivek Ramaswamy and not Nikki Haley. Haley is the former South Carolina governor and US ambassador running for the Republican nomination. She is also of Indian origin.
The article then reminds conservative readers that Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton have both made jokes about Indian Americans who own and run convenience stores. Lefties love to accuse conservatives precisely of all the sins that they themselves are committing.
