Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, threw a fit on Twitter on June 18, in response to Joe Rogan’s interview with 2024 presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The commotion this interview caused on Twitter was so strong that Rogan offered a Baylor College of Medicine professor $100,000 to publicly debate RFK Jr. on whether or not the assertions he made would represent a form of vaccine misinformation.
Writer Tom Nichols chimed in on Rogan’s proposal, saying no medical professional should ever agree to go through with this debate.
Rogan then replied by saying Nichols’ suggestion would be great, but only if he could guarantee the industry he was providing cover for wasn’t thoroughly captured by unscrupulous actors.
These actors have historically accrued some of the largest fines, due to their deceptive practices causing harm to hundreds of thousands of people.
Because Nichols and other individuals are incapable of guaranteeing Rogan’s hypothetical scenario, Rogan believes having a debate on the merits of mass vaccination, especially vaccines put forward during the Wuhan virus pandemic, would be a good idea.
Cuban then jumped into this Twitter squabble by noting while the pharmaceutical industry has its fair share of controversy, it also saved countless lives, which he believes Rogan knows, but intentionally ignores.
Furthermore, Mark Cuban went on to accuse Rogan of disrespecting doctors who advocate for vaccines as a way to save lives. Additionally, Cuban claimed the renowned podcaster was bullying the Baylor college professor by calling on him for this public delegate.
In his concluding remark, Cuban declared that Rogan and Twitter CEO Elon Musk allegedly represent everything that has gone wrong with the mainstream media, all because they are willing to promote debates on controversial issues in American politics.
