A video from a New York City Pride March that took place on June 24, 2023 has evoked major controversy; participants were caught chanting about going after children.
For decades, conservative activists warned about how pro-LGBT groups used the advocacy for the normalization of homosexuality and sexually deviant causes.
This was branded as an alleged Trojan Horse for the eventual grooming of children and other socially unacceptable sexual activity involving kids.
NBC News quickly came to the defense of this pride event on its Out & Proud website. National reporter Tyler Kingkaid interviewed several activists connected to the Pride event in an effort to give this event a more positive spin.
Brian Griffin originally organized the NYC Drag March and talked with Kingkaid about this controversial Pride event.
He claims in previous events, participants chanted more inflammatory words, such as calling for the killing of the mayor. In some instances, Kingkaid observed several participants would publicly joke about sex toys and repeatedly sing about God having a lesbian sexual orientation.
Griffin stressed these chants were only words and largely done in jest in order to mock conservative activists who they believe irrationally fearmonger about pro-LGBT causes.
Another participant in this march argued the chants were isolated incidents that weren’t representative of the march or the people participating in it.
There has been an accelerated push by the cultural left to normalize LGBT culture in nearly all facets of American life.
This has been most evident with the promotion of pro-LGBT content at schools and the embrace of pro-Pride messaging across corporate America.
Such developments have been met with fierce resistance from conservatives who used state policy to clamp down on drag show performances in front of minors and limit the use of pro-LGBT materials in the classroom.
As the country grows more politically polarized, cultural war struggles will increase in intensity, as conservatives start turning to legislative force to prevent further cultural leftist encroachment across civil society.
