NextImg:Liberal DA Alvin Bragg: NYC Subway Crime is Out of Control - The Conservative Brief

Alvin Bragg, the DA for Manhattan, acknowledged on Tuesday that he himself is concerned about violence on the city’s subway systems.

When challenged about the idea that the public transportation system is getting more dangerous, Bragg informed FOX 5 News that he is aware.

He’s also familiar with data indicating that subway violence is lower and whenever one of his family members goes on the subway, he feels the same anxiety as everyone else.

Bragg acknowledged there is a lot that needs to be done about this issue. He added that he is growing his family in the city, so he understands the situation.

His remarks came as transportation crimes increased last month by over 20%, when compared with the same period last year.

On June 18, a guy is accused of attacking three separate ladies over the course of 20 minutes in a series of subway stabbings.

Most of these offenders have a history of arrests, but because of the lax bail regulations Bragg supported, they were permitted to reenter society.

In June, there were 195 incidents reported on the New York City subway system and an increase of over 18% from the 165 instances in June 2022.

The first individual, 19-year-old Bianchelly Diplan, was making her commute to Paris Baguette to collect a cake. Then, the back of her calf was slashed so severely that she needed 19 stitches.

Later, a second woman, 48, had her right leg cut in the exact same station and on the exact same platform.

The suspect, 28-year-old Kemal Rideout, was captured on surveillance film rushing back into the downtown 4-train at approximately four in the afternoon.

Police claimed that Rideout assaulted a 28-year-old person in the Brooklyn Bridge City Hall station, just fifteen minutes afterward.

Three counts of criminal assault have been filed against Rideout. He has been apprehended four times elsewhere in the city and is currently being imprisoned without bail on Riker’s Island.
