Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is running for the White House. This is happening after much speculation about whether or not he’d jump into the race.

Since getting involved, DeSantis said if Republicans grant him the nomination in 2024, he’ll become the next president with the ability to serve two terms in the White House.

Since DeSantis’ announcement, conservatives have come out in droves, rallying around him and showing their support. However, many Democrats are not happy about this.

There are some theories floating around that Democrats perceive DeSantis to be a greater threat against Biden than Trump. Recent remarks from an ESPN host seem to give credence to this theory, as reported by Fox News.

After DeSantis approved bills to crack down against DEI indoctrination at colleges and universities in Florida, ESPN host Stephen Smith viciously went after him.

Smith opined that DeSantis “lost his mind” and may turn out to be one of the least intelligent people he has ever seen. Ironically, in the very next breath, Smith also conceded that DeSantis is, in fact, “smart.”

The Florida governor has repeatedly made headlines for cracking down on left-wing indoctrination threatening education at all levels. Yet, according to the ESPN host, DeSantis may be trying to “throw” the election with new anti-DEI policies.

The Florida governor has made it clear that he’s not going to back down, regardless of the hits he takes. When DeSantis declared his run for the 2024 presidential election, he stressed that America is desperately in need of strong leadership.

With DeSantis officially being in the 2024 election now, it is very likely that more leftists will continue coming after him. These attacks will increase exponentially if the Florida governor turns out to be the 2024 GOP nominee.

So far, DeSantis has not publicly responded to Smith.
