Jerretta Sandoz of the LAPD police union recently told officers that they shouldn’t bother trying to work in Los Angeles anymore.
Sandoz has previously complained about underfunding of police and the leftist embrace of criminals.
Now, she’s holding nothing back, telling police the city doesn’t care about or appreciate them and they should “go somewhere” that actually appreciates their “worth.”
Sandoz is currently trying to get a raise for LAPD officers, but has been unsuccessful. She’s clearly frustrated and vented her anger on her personal Facebook page.
She doesn’t feel the city council appreciates or cares about the “great work” she says officers do around the dangerous and crime-infested city.
In her message, Sandoz even voiced it’s “no exaggeration” to honestly say that many members of the LA city council “hate” police and are genuinely not in support of them.
It’s clear that Sandoz isn’t only angry about the city’s refusal to boost salaries, but also about the lack of respect and appreciation she feels for her men and women in blue.
Sandoz’s union speaks on behalf of 9,000 police in the LA area. Her frustration isn’t just her own opinion and is shared by many cops who have left the force.
In fact, over 1,000 policemen and policewomen have left the LAPD in the past four years. This massive hemorrhaging of the police force comes following the 2020 BLM riots and the ongoing far-left push to “defund” the police.
Cops don’t feel wanted; they feel in too much danger for cities like LA, where the local politicians don’t respect them. Why would they stay?
Sandoz has not taken back what she said and notes that she “stands by” every single word she wrote. Why shouldn’t she? After all, she is right.
