As more is uncovered about President Joe Biden’s potential link to the $5 million Ukrainian bribery scheme, GOP lawmakers are also questioning the murky origins of $10 million in revenue discovered in a 2017 tax return.
Biden himself responded to allegations about the shady deposit by claiming “total transparency” in an act of self-righteous integrity. So far, Biden seems less than content to come forward about the $10 million he accepted seven years ago.
In 2017, Biden’s S Corporation, CelticCapri Corp, filed tax returns that included $10 million in revenue from an unlisted source, with no information regarding the reason for paying such a large sum.
The tax returns were released before the 2020 election, spanning 22 years. USA Today attempted to “fact check” the accusations by blowing them off as fees for lecture engagements by Biden and publishing deals, totaling $15.6 million.
The Federalist critiqued USA Today’s erroneous coverage, pointing out the Biden website only allows viewers to access their returns provided in the financial disclosure. No “S-Corporation” was documented.
The individual returns are entirely distinct from the S-corporations the Bidens founded soon after Joe Biden ended his term as vice president.
The concealed nature of the $10 million in revenue fostered by the Bidens discreetly made Republican lawmakers demand transparency from the president.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said that Biden ought to disclose all information regarding the donor, calling on every member of the press to consistently besiege him until he complies.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) called on Biden to release his unredacted records to demonstrate to the American people where the money actually came from.
Former businessman Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) primarily pointed out how appalling it is that Biden would sell the US out in exchange for foreigners influencing domestic policies.
