The notorious Zorro Ranch, a sprawling property once owned by the infamous financier Jeffrey Epstein, finally found a new owner. This comes after two years of being listed on the market, a testament to the tainted legacy left behind by its previous owner.
Daniel Weiner, an attorney representing Epstein’s estate, confirmed the sale of the ranch. However, the details of the transaction, including the purchase price and the identity of the buyer, remain undisclosed.
The proceeds from this sale will be directed towards administering the estate and settling debts with creditors.
Weiner stated, “On behalf of the Epstein Estate, we confirm the sale by the Estate of the New Mexico property known as ‘Zorro Ranch.’ The proceeds will be used for Estate administration, including payment of creditors.”
He further added while the specifics of the sale are confidential, the estate will disclose the sale in its next quarterly accounting to be filed in the St. Thomas, USVI probate court.
The Zorro Ranch is a massive property, spanning 7,600 acres.
It boasts a 26,700-square-foot residence, a private airstrip, and a helipad. Epstein purchased the ranch in the 1990s and it served as the headquarters for his numerous illegal activities, including the sexual abuse of young girls.
Originally listed in 2021 for a whopping $27.5 million, the price was later slashed to $18 million in an attempt to attract potential buyers. The actual sales price will be revealed in the estate’s upcoming quarterly accounting, which will be filed with the probate court in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
According to the Santa Fe County assessor’s records, the new owner of the Zorro Ranch is San Rafael Ranch LLC.
This company was recently registered with the secretary of state’s office, adding an intriguing layer of mystery surrounding the identity of the new owner and their plans for the property.
In 2019, the New York Times reported that Epstein had grandiose plans for the ranch. He intended to use it as a site to impregnate dozens of women with his sperm in a twisted bid to improve humanity.
Additionally, he expressed a desire to have his penis and head preserved after his death, hoping they could be reanimated in the future.
The sale of the Zorro Ranch marks the end of a dark chapter in its history. As the new owners take possession, one can only hope that the property will be purged of its past and used for more honorable purposes.
