NextImg:Hunter Biden's Emails Reveal Corruption in Now Defunct Business - The Conservative Brief

In light of Hunter Biden’s appearance in court this Wednesday, emails show extensive investments in the now defunct Delaware-based Fisker Automotive.

According to the emails leaked from a Wilmington computer store’s hard drive in 2010, Hunter Biden became a connecting link among numerous companies seeking government assistance.

Biden acted as a broker for companies looking for local incentives, facilitating connections with politicians, bureaucrats, and University of Delaware representatives.

Companies such as Bloom Energy hired Biden as a broker, allowing him access to early knowledge about the firm’s finances, people, and dealings. This allowed Biden to strike a controversial deal a year later for an assembly plant of an unnamed clean energy company, Fisker Automotive.

Biden’s investment firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners, had ties with several corporate executives, involving them in some of Delaware’s most ambitious economic projects during the early 2010s.

Several figures with ties to Rosemont and Hunter Biden donated significant amounts to the Bidens’ political aspirations.

State officials appeared too happy to prioritize anything the Bidens had on their agenda. It is unknown if then-Governor Jack Markell favored any firms tied to the Biden family.

In 2010, Delaware’s economy faced significant challenges due to multiple mass layoffs, some of which occurred before the national economic downturn. A crucial component of this plan involved the two closed automobile plants.

Catering to Delaware’s need for development, Fisker Automotive with Hunter Biden stepped in and offered the state a revitalization of its economy by providing plans for a new plant.

In April 2010, the Markell Administration disclosed a $22 million investment to Fisker Automotive, intended to establish a sequence of Newport, Delaware-based plug-in hybrid cars at the previous GM auto plant.

A year before, in October 2009, the Department of Energy under the Obama administration granted a loan to Fisker for half a billion dollars.
