For years on end now, Hunter Biden has been at the forefront of national discussions and congressional investigations.
This is largely due to the first son being accused of breaking numerous laws, along with using his dad’s previous work as vice president to obtain an edge in the international business world.
Amid the chaos, many Americans suspected that Hunter would never face any serious accountability, due to who his father is. Now, it’s come out that Hunter has been hit with criminal charges.
Though, as many people anticipated for quite some time, there’s a catch, as pointed out by the Daily Caller.
The charges Hunter faces pertain to tax crimes and a felony due to lying on forms to buy a gun. However, the kicker is that because Hunter’s pleading guilty to these offenses, he won’t spend a single day in prison.
Instead, Hunter’s getting off easy with a probation agreement, much to the annoyance of many Americans.
When the White House was questioned on these developments, the president predictably claimed he was “proud” of his son. Biden also falsely alleged that Hunter hasn’t made any wrong decisions.
It didn’t take long for news to break of Hunter essentially being given a slap on the wrist for serious violations.
Americans rightfully pointed out that if his last name wasn’t “Biden,” Hunter would already be in lockup by now. Furthermore, Republican lawmakers branded the aforementioned toothless legal action as a “sweetheart deal” motivated by politics.
Before the outcome, many folks already warned this country had failed victim to a two-tiered justice system. The fact that Hunter won’t spend a single day in prison for what he’s done has only confirmed said warnings.
In the meantime, though, House Republicans are still investigating Hunter’s foreign business affairs.
