In theaters across the United States, Sound of Freedom is airing. This film raises awareness about the evils of human trafficking and its impacts on kids.
Furthermore, Sound of Freedom centers on the story of former DHS agent Tim Ballard who actually quit his job in law enforcement so that he’d have an easier time taking on human traffickers.
While Sound of Freedom is an important movie that everyone should watch, legacy media outlets have begun baselessly writing it off as a Q-Anon conspiracy theory.
Though, in spite of the critics, Sound of Freedom is still going strong. According to the Gateway Pundit, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is one of the latest people to air this film.
On Capitol Hill, McCarthy hosted an event that involved playing the Sound of Freedom. During later remarks, the House Speaker was also joined by Ballard and Jim Caviezel, the actor who portrayed Ballard in the film.
The three discussed Sound of Freedom, the initial challenges it faced in getting into movie theaters, and more. Many Republicans were in attendance at the Capitol Hill event and also stressed the importance of taking on human trafficking.
After the events of Sound of Freedom, Tim Ballard went on to found the anti-human trafficking group known as Operation Underground Railroad (OUR).
OUR has participated in much joint work with law enforcement to help apprehend human traffickers and the people who buy from them. Likewise, the organization provides aftercare services for survivors of this crime.
Ballard, McCarthy, and Caviezel made it clear that the anti-human trafficking movement needs as many hands on deck as possible. The reality is that human trafficking continues to rise, especially with tools like social media and the internet.
Unless something changes, the rates of human trafficking are going to soon surpass the illegal arms trade.
