Woke Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs never disappoints.
This time, she really delivered in terms of being detached from reality. She signed an executive order to allow state employees to have their sex change surgeries covered by health insurance.
Hobbs stated the Department of Administration will be removing the exclusion for these surgeries as soon as the order goes into effect, overwriting a 2017 order that prevented state employees from using their healthcare plan to fund sex reassignment surgeries.
To put things into perspective, not a single cosmetic surgery is covered by most healthcare providers. There’s no reason why this should be any different unless the left finds a valid reason to justify mutilating one’s genitals.
That being said, Hobbs has yet to provide a single example where a state is helping fund these surgeries, which would make Arizona the only state to waste taxpayer money on something as absurd as this.
Naturally, conservatives are already on the case. Plans to challenge this executive order are in the works, with Cathi Herrod calling the move partisan and dangerous.
Herrod added that Hobbs’ definition of “conversion therapy” is nothing more than counseling for those struggling to align with their biological gender. It’s probably unconstitutional to tell these therapists what they’re allowed to tell their patients.
In response, Hobbs pulled the LGBTQ+ rights card that the left loves to use.
Hobbs stated she’s willing to go the extra step if it’ll ensure that Arizona will be a safe place for individuals to participate in the economy without fearing for their lives.
This leaves one wondering who these people fearing for their lives really are, seeing as LGBTQ+ are probably the most sheltered in the US.
They’ve always managed to get their way, even if their “activism” included something as deranged as support for pedophiles, who they now call “minor-attracted persons.”
This is no longer the America you or I once knew. If Democrats like Hobbs are given free rein with your money, we’re definitely not in for a good time.
