Curtis Sliwa, a renowned American activist and radio talk show host, has been making headlines for his vehement opposition to New York City’s controversial plan to accommodate illegal immigrants.

As the founder and CEO of the Guardian Angels, a nonprofit organization dedicated to unarmed crime prevention, Sliwa’s stance has sparked a heated debate across the city.

The Gateway Pundit recently reported on Sliwa’s activities, highlighting his role as the Republican nominee in the 2021 New York City mayoral election.

Despite losing to Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, Sliwa continues to be a vocal critic of the city’s policies. His recent revelations about the situation outside the Roosevelt Hotel on 45th St. & Madison Avenue have further fueled the controversy.

In a bold act of protest, Sliwa journeyed to Staten Island on a Sunday. His mission? To rally against the conversion of the Midland Beach Senior Citizen Home into a migrant shelter.

This facility, previously a haven for vulnerable elderly Americans, was now at the center of a contentious debate.

Sliwa didn’t stand alone. He joined forces with other protestors, blocking the street in a powerful display of civil disobedience.

The result was inevitable – Sliwa, along with several other protestors, was handcuffed and arrested. They were subsequently placed into a police van, a stark symbol of their defiance.

In a press release prior to the event, Sliwa expressed his disdain for Mayor Eric Adams’ decision to evict the elderly occupants of the nursing home to make room for illegal migrants.

“He is despicable,” Sliwa declared, calling out politicians for their role in facilitating the “invasion of illegal immigrants” into NYC neighborhoods.

Sliwa’s argument is simple yet compelling. “We need to take care of Americans first. Migrants, illegals, to the back of the line,” he stated.

This wasn’t Sliwa’s first brush with the law. In fact, it was his second arrest within a week. Earlier, he had led another protest at a tent shelter for migrants at Creedmoor Hospital Grounds.

Despite the arrests, Sliwa remains undeterred, vowing to continue his fight until justice is served.

Sliwa’s actions and words have ignited a conversation about the city’s immigration policies. “There is no law stating that we are a sanctuary city or sanctuary state. It was a pronouncement. It was a proclamation. It can be undone instantaneously,” he argued.

As the debate rages on, one thing is clear – Curtis Sliwa is not backing down. His commitment to his cause is unwavering and his voice continues to echo through the streets of New York City.
