The Republican Party is coming under a nasty attack from its own at the highest political level.
It is getting betrayed and backstabbed by several GOP Senate members who indicated they could defect to Democrats because they disagree with the Republican agenda.
Several Republican senators, described as “radical left,” are now threatening to abandon the GOP, as long as it keeps representing ordinary American people, The Gateway Pundit reports.
The report says the senators in question are members of the “Uniparty,” the term conservatives use in order to describe the anti-American globalist elite.
According to several reports, the GOP senators that seem set to betray the Republican cause are Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, John Thune of South Dakota, John Cornyn of Texas, and Todd Young of Indiana.
The revelation is based on interviews conducted by centrist news outlet The Hill. Several Republican senators said they could no longer stay members of the GOP if they had to “represent the base voter.”
One senator who is mentioned by name is Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. According to the reports, GOP lawmakers complained of “conservative populism” conquering the entire Republican Party.
Apparently, by “conservative populism” the wannabe renegades are referring to the “commonsense, America-First” agenda of MAGA Republicans.
The Hill’s report points out that GOP senators are worried a radical conservative movement might cause “significant political problems” for the party during the 2024 election.
Among their concerns is said to be people’s growing distrust of the Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA, the National Institute of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
According to Murkowski, there are “more ‘rational Republicans’” who are freaking out that they can’t be in the same party as “extremists” and “populists.” These “rational Republicans” feel the latter are robbing the GOP of its chances to take the White House and the Senate in 2024.
That’s certainly highly concerning because a rift in the GOP would be the greatest present to the Democrats.
