During a protest in Oregon City on Saturday, tensions flared between the Portland Chapter of the Proud Boys and a white nationalist organization named Rose City Nationalists.
This event was reported by Brian Lupo from The Gateway Pundit.
The situation escalated when members of Rose City Nationalists tried to join ranks with the Proud Boys during their “flag-wave” protest.
This led to a brief physical altercation characterized by pushing, shouting, and quarrels. Some members of the white nationalist organization had their coverings forcibly removed as they attempted to cover their faces while fleeing the scene.
The Proud Boys, founded by Vice Media co-founder Gavin McInnes, is a far-right, all-male organization with a history of violence at protests.
The Rose City Nationalists are a white nationalist group based in Portland. It’s important to note both groups are controversial and have been linked to violent incidents in the past.
This incident underscores the ongoing tensions between various far-right factions at public demonstrations.
Following a confrontation between the Proud Boys and the Rose City Nationalists, a self-proclaimed “pro-white” group in the Pacific Northwest suggested the white nationalists were actually FBI agents aiming to provoke the Proud Boys.
This theory has been fueled in part by ongoing tensions between the Proud Boys and the Biden administration. The latter has faced criticism for its treatment of Proud Boys members in relation to the events of January 6th.
FBI Denies Involvement in Altercation, Sparks Skepticism
Adam Kinzinger, a former Republican congressman, added fuel to these allegations with his responses to claims that the incident was a “false flag” operation. His comments raised questions about whether he was aware of inside information or simply speculating.
The FBI responded to these allegations, stating they were “appalled” by the suggestions of their involvement in the altercation. However, their response was met with skepticism and, according to the report, left Kinzinger, a supporter of the FBI, looking foolish.
These people (all blue checks) are celebrating a seemingly MAGA assault on federal officers. Now i don’t know what this really is, but take a gander at the comments of the “patriots” who “love” America ???????? https://t.co/vVqHpdo2WW

These events highlight the complex, often contentious dynamics between different political factions, law enforcement agencies, and public perceptions of their actions and motivations.
As is often the case in situations involving public protests and counter-protests, the truth can be difficult to discern amidst the heated rhetoric and allegations.
