Towards the end of last year, businessman Elon Musk went through with purchasing Twitter.

For some time, Musk’s acquisition of the platform was up in the air. This was mainly a result of various bots on the site and other issues that caused Musk and the then-owners of the platform to butt heads.

Twitter has seen some significant changes with Musk now running the forum. For starters, the checkmark system has adjusted. Those who want to keep blue checkmarks or others have to pay a monthly fee.

Musk has also stated he’s committed to getting more users on Twitter and increasing its profitability. Though in a recent interview, the businessman sounded off against the way Twitter’s previous owners ran the site, according to the New York Post.

On Fox News, Musk stated that there were way too many people previously running Twitter ahead of him getting involved. With Musk’s acquisition of the platform, he eventually fired a significant amount of employees.

Furthermore, the businessman told Fox News that Twitter was previously a “glorified activist organization” that prioritized “censorship” above all else.

Later, Musk pointed out in a critical manner that it took so much time to be able to get an edit button on Twitter that’s not even fully functional.

Elon Musk’s remarks about Twitter’s previous ownership truly struck a chord with the country. Many Americans were stunned by the major bombshells that Musk dropped about how Twitter was previously being operated.

Others expressed support for Musk’s choice to make changes and roll back the extensive levels of censorship that were previously taking place.
