The phrase “we’re coming for your children” was shouted by an entourage of LGBT activists in New York City on Friday. The protesters were chanting as they marched throughout the city, “We’re here, we’re queer, and we’re coming for your children.”
In attendance at the yearly New York City Drag March were male adults costumed in skimpy women’s attire, females with their breasts revealed, and numerous drag performers.
Based on a Daily Caller story, protesters gathered in Tompkins Square Park before moving throughout the East Village and ending at the Stonewall Inn. In 1969, a police raid on a homosexual nightclub called the Stonewall Inn set off deadly protests.
Some demonstrators carried signs with the slogans “Groom Cissies” and “Drag isn’t for Cissies.” Others handed out flyers urging guests to show up at a different event to support “Drag Story Hour” and “LGBTQ and gender nonconforming youngsters.”
Right-wing protestors in a small number have targeted DSH NYC gatherings.
To foster a friendly, joyous atmosphere, the call is made for families to bring along their children and fighters to arrive dressed in rainbow-colored clothing or other festive attire so that they can drown out the voices of those opposing the march.
After Friday’s incident, New York City’s LGBT celebrations are far from over. A “Dyke March” is set for Saturday and a “Queer Liberation March” has been booked for Sunday.
The “we’re here for your kids” cry outraged U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who asked Congress to approve legislation that would outlaw surgery to change gender for youngsters.
“This organization grooms children to have mastectomy procedures and sterilization and feeds a multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical child abuse industry,” Greene noted in a post.
The Protect Children’s Innocence Act must be passed. Allow children to be children.
