Another weekend saw an increase in the violent crime rate of Democrat-controlled Chicago. This past weekend, armed gangs spread fear throughout the city by committing dozens of robberies around the area.

According to a report published by the local police department, the number of robberies committed in Chicago has increased by 14%, reaching its highest level in five years.

The police suspect at least three separate groups were responsible for the rampage that occurred this past weekend; however, no arrests have been made.

These robberies, like those that came before them, were carried out by three to five armed and masked men. They leaped out of cars to rob victims who were walking down the street.

Around a quarter to four in the morning, at least five armed guys got out of a black Chrysler 300. They robbed numerous people of their phones and wallets outside a Taco Bell located at 1107 West Addison in the Wrigleyville neighborhood of Chicago.

As of Sunday afternoon, the police report that documents the case has not finished being written up.

A representative for the Chicago Police Department stated that at 4:19 a.m., five armed males emerged from a BMW X5 and assaulted five men in the 6400 block of North Oakley in the neighborhood of West Ridge.

Another local establishment was hit by one of the criminals at the same time. Following that, they all ran away in the BMW X5 car.

On Sunday, detectives in the city of Chicago issued a community advisory, making it known they had linked five robberies to the same gang of males.
