Sound of Freedom, an anti-pedophilia blockbuster, has taken the movie industry by surprise. Vast crowds of Americans are flocking to see it and experience its powerful messages.

Now, the movie is now set to do the same worldwide, after its studio announced a wide-ranging plan for its international showing.

Sound of Freedom was made by Christian production company Angel Studios on a $14.5 million budget. It already grossed over $130 million in the United States, after winning the July 4 and July 20 box offices.

The film tells the story of former US agent Tim Ballard and his organization, Operation Underground Railroad, which has been carrying out elaborate sting operations to rescue children from child sex traffickers.

Ballard – played by Jim Caviezel – went on a rescue mission in Colombia to save hundreds of kids from sex slavery.

Sound of Freedom has been so popular with viewers across the nation that it managed to compete successfully even against “Barbenheimer.” This is a name for the Hollywood films Oppenheimer and Barbie, which debuted on the same weekend.

The box office success of Sound of Freedom seems only set to intensify as the anti-pedophilia film keeps gaining traction in the United States. It is now going to do so worldwide, The Gateway Pundit reports.

Angel Studios announced that Sound of Freedom will reach movie theaters abroad, beginning in August. Thus, on August 18, it will debut in South Africa. Australia and New Zealand will follow, as their viewers will be able to see it, starting on August 24.

The biggest international date for the anti-crime film will be on August 31 when it will premiere simultaneously in 16 countries across Central and South America.

Besides that, in September and October, Sound of Freedom will become available to movie-goers in the United Kingdom, Spain, and Ireland.

Angel Studios’ senior VP Jared Geesey, revealed the global interest in the film has been staggering, with demand for dozens of languages and world regions.
