NextImg:Chris Christie Announces Presidential Bid, Calls Trump Voldemort - The Conservative Brief

During the speech announcing his candidacy for president in 2024, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie made a comparison between former President Trump and the Harry Potter antagonist, Voldemort.

As he made an appearance in front of a crowd in New Hampshire, Chris Christie made the decision to bring up an issue that most of his Republican competitors steer clear of: Donald Trump.

Christie criticized the way other Republican candidates dealt with Trump, comparing him to the central bad guy in the popular Harry Potter book and series of movies.

Christie started off by delivering veiled attacks on Trump, criticizing his habit of assaulting former assistants who fell out of favor. He characterized the action as one that would not be desirable in a person in a leadership role.

After that, the former governor of New Jersey went on to make a clear allusion to Trump, while simultaneously bringing him up alongside a reference to Harry Potter.

Christie said there are pretenders all around us, trying to convince everyone we should pick them because they are somewhat comparable to what we would have picked in the past.

Christie claimed he was reluctant to give his name. He continued by saying Trump is “He Who Shall Not Be Named.”

He went on to clarify that the individual he was talking about was Donald J. Trump, who allegedly has an obsession with a mirror.

Christie also described Trump as someone who never acknowledges wrongdoing or recognizes fault, who constantly finds another person or something else liable for whatever goes wrong, yet finds any excuse to take praise for anything that goes right and never apologizes for his actions.

According to the most recent survey conducted by Fox News from May 19-22, Christie is currently polling at 0%. Trump holds 53%.
