Ever since Bud Light partnered with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, it’s taken some massive hits.
People aren’t buying this beer like they used to. Some stores also had to significantly knock down Bud Light’s prices in hopes of getting the merchandise off the shelves. Meanwhile, many bars that previously sold Bud Light are no longer doing so.
Unfortunately, for Bud Light, there’s no telling when or if the company will ever be able to come back from the signficant hits it’s taken. There have even been reports of some Bud Light employees being laid off amid the fallout.
Recently, news from the Gateway Pundit revealed that Bud Light’s problems got even worse.
During a Beach Boys concert, lead singer Mike Love took shots at Bud Light while getting ready to perform hit song, Surfer Girl. Love warned this song is, in fact, “gender specific,” while joking that he hopes there aren’t any Budweiser people or FBI agents in the audience.
Love’s remarks were well-recieved by the crowd, hence showing just how far Bud Light has fallen in the court of public opinion.
Given the ongoing, persistent backlash against Bud Light, there are now speculations that the company will eventually end up going bankruot. After all, if very few people are willing to purchase the beer, then there is no room for Bud Light to continue operating.
Its partnership with Mulvaney also backfired in another roundabout way. Amid the fallout from consumers, Mulvaney later claimed he does not feel that the company acted strongly enough in supporting him.
All in all, it’s safe to say that Bud Light would be in a much better position today, had it chosen to stick with selling beer and steer clear of political and social issues.
