At a media appearance in Helsinki, President Joe Biden warned a Finnish journalist who had an inquiry for him that she could fail to make it home safely that evening.

When asked about NATO’s latest addition, which is located barely 70 miles from Russia and entered the formidable alliance when a war has begun in Europe, Biden reflected on unpredictability and his feeling of fatalism.

He vowed to stick with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto after Finland hurriedly joined the partnership in April, following the Russian occupation of Ukraine.

Biden emphasized no one is able to predict what lies ahead, adding that this is the greatest wager anybody can place.

Once Biden completed his response to the query of if US political divides would, in the future, undercut any pledges he undertakes, Biden went back to his NATO Charter-enshrined assertion of mutual responsibility and common defense.

Despite the fact that the president of Finland started responding to a related question, Biden continued.

“To clarify, I did not argue we did not have the ability to ensure the future. You are unable to tell me if you will be able to return home tonight. No one can predict their actions,” Biden said to Lida Tikka, the YLE correspondent for Finland’s state radio in Washington, D.C.

Biden continued by describing the alliance as transatlantic.

He promised that they will remain affiliated with NATO, linked to NATO start, middle, and finish. Biden said he declares this as confidently as whatever could ever be uttered regarding American foreign policy.

“It appears the president has handled your concerns,” the Finnish president concluded after finishing. Niinisto declared he has no cause to be skeptical of future US policy.

Senators Tim Kaine and Marco Rubio introduced a bipartisan bill that would forbid a president from leaving NATO without congressional permission.
