This is not the week to mess with Republicans, who seem united nationally in knocking out the crime that has been allowed to fester under Democrat rule. First, it was President Trump assuming law enforcement control of Washington, D.C., and, now, just down the road, it's Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin looking for answers about alleged school-funded abortions being facilitated by staff at a Fairfax County high school.
As RedState previously reported, a social worker at Centreville High School, which is part of Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) and is run by a Democrat-controlled school board, may have arranged and paid for at least two minor students at the school to obtain abortions at a Northern Virginia-area abortion mill; even worse, it is alleged she did so without notifying the students parents or guardians.

Virginia HS Abortion Scandal Explodes As Teacher's Receipts Shred School System's Pathetic Excuses
Youngkin announced Wednesday that he was directing the Virginia State Police to launch a criminal investigation into the goings-on at Centreville High School.
I’m deeply concerned with the allegations that Fairfax County Public Schools officials arranged for minors to get abortions without parental consent and may have misused public funds to pay for them. I’m directing the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation to open a full criminal investigation into the matter immediately.
In a press release, Youngkin's office zeroed in on the possible criminal activity:
FCPS has announced its own internal investigation into the allegations, although questions have been raised about when school administrators and higher-ups at the school system first knew about the possible activities of Centreville High School social worker Carolina Diaz. Centreville teacher Zenaida Perez, a colleague to Diaz and confidante of at least one of the girls whose abortion may have been facilitated and paid for by Diaz, has come forward in recent days to say she alerted then-Principal Chad Lehman of the incident all the way back in May of 2022. Weirdly, FCPS Superintendent Michelle Reid said in an email to parents last week that the school system had only just learned of the allegations.
At least one of the minor girls involved provided a written statement confirming Diaz's involvement and affirming that the student was only 17-years-old when the abortion took place. Diaz's involvement, if proven, would at the very least violate the school system's Regulation 2504.6, which encourages the involvement of parents and guardians in underage pregnancies and directs school personnel to refer students to the county health department. Booking appointments and paying for abortions would be going too far, even by FCPS standards.
Anyone with information about the events at Centreville High School is asked to contact Virginia State Police at [email protected] or (804) 674-2196.
