President Donald Trump has made good on another promise, as gas prices have plummeted across the country for the last few months, after Democrats promised things like recession, chaos, and economic turmoil if Trump's agenda was enacted.
During the his time on the 2024 campaign trail, Trump promised that his energy plan would do several things, including lowering gas prices. And it looks like he was right once again, as our sister site Townhall.com reported on Wednesday.
GasBuddy, the site that tracks fuel costs and estimates the cost of gas for the entire year, found that the average price is even lower than it had previously expected, with costs of gas during the months of March, April, and May even lower than the "range of possible."
The report noted that:
For March, the range was $3.18-$3.41, with the average forecast at $3.30. The actual average was at $3.09, however, for a difference of -$0.21. It only gets better from there. The range for April was $3.24-$3.67, with the average forecast at $3.46 and the actual average at $3.17, for a difference of -$0.29. May was the best of all so far, with a range of $3.34-$3.55, an average forecast of $3.45, and the actual average at $3.15. That's a difference of -$0.30.
The range of possible for February was $2.94-$3.28, with the average forecast at $3.11 and the actual average coming in at $3.12, for a difference of just $0.01. Trump had been in office for his second term just over a month at the end of February.
A post on Monday on GasBuddy's X account showed a downward trend happening nationwide.
"This week's #GasPriceUpdate is here! What does gas cost where you live right now?" it read. "National average: $3.07/gal. Median price: $2.94/gal. Most common price: $2.99/gal. Highest state: California ($4.63). Lowest state: Mississippi ($2.60)."
RedState reported in March that making a trip to the pump was finally so much easier than it was when former President Joe Biden was occupying the White House.
Bob Hoge wrote that:
Gas prices fell for the fourth straight week on Monday and are likely to continue sliding below $3 per gallon, according to experts.
The average price of a gallon of regular gas is currently $3.078 across the U.S. as of March 18, according to AAA data. This is down from $3.081 a week earlier; $3.161 last month; and $4.367 last year.
The average price for a gallon of gas is also currently below $3 in 34 states, according to GasBuddy.com, which monitors gas prices across the U.S..
It is quite the change from how things were under the Biden administration, when lowering gas prices and drilling to make America energy self-sufficient was the last thing on the agenda. Remember when Biden shut down oil pipeline construction to appease climate agenda leftists and couldn't care less about how much Americans paid at the pump?
Thank God those days are over. So much winning!
Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into the "Golden Age" as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
