Cracker Barrel made another huge announcement on Tuesday, sharing that they have heard the backlash and have halted all plans for its woke renovation for its restaurants, which included removing the more down-home country look for something more sterile.
In a post on X and the company's website, the "Old Country Stores" wrote that "You've shared your voices in recent weeks not just on our logo, but also on our restaurants. We're continuing to listen. Today, we're suspending our remodels. If your restaurant hasn't been remodeled, you don't need to worry, it won't be."

"We heard clearly that the modern remodel design does not reflect what you love about Cracker Barrel," it added. "We had tested this design in only four out of 660 locations, and we won't continue with it. Of course, we will continue to invest in our restaurants to make sure that they are in good shape and meet your expectations."
"The vintage Americana you love will always be here - the rocking chairs on the porch, our fireplaces and peg games, unique treasures in our gift shop, and antiques pulled straight from our warehouse in Lebanon, Tennessee," the statement continued. "We want you to have a warm, welcoming space for friends and family to gather and enjoy our craveable food and country hospitality."
The statement concluded by linking back to the recent announcement that it would be ditching its rebrand of its "Old Timer" logo following a flood of criticism against the popular eatery for going with one that its CEO Julie Masino said was necessary to feel like "Cracker Barrel for today and for tomorrow."
The company also promised it would make a "bigger focus in the kitchen and on your plate."
Closing out the statement, they wrote that they hope "today's step reinforces that we hear you."

Every Business Needs to Heed Donald Trump's Advice to Cracker Barrel
Following news that the company was nuking its renovation plans, President Donald Trump posted a message that read "We Are So Back." The post included a video of the Cracker Barrel "Old Timer" logo man dancing with President Trump.
As RedState reported, Masino initially responded to the backlash over the announced woke changes to the logo and restaurant design with some defiance, suggesting she knew better than generations of families who have called the eatery home for more than 50 years.
Masino said that for the remodels they were responding to what their guests want, saying, "We are doing all this for them."
And how about that menu change? Masino appeared to try to dodge the question about, "Is the food changing?" Instead, her response was that "innovation has proven to be really great at Cracker Barrel" and said that they were "reinvigorating their dinner menu."
When asked why Cracker Barrel was making all these changes, Masino's corporate-speak didn't fail with her reply that "Cracker Barrel needs to feel like the Cracker Barrel for today and for tomorrow."
[Michael] Strahan then asked the CEO about how the new look has prompted numerous videos on social media slamming it, and she just brushed it off.
"Honestly, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive that people like what we are doing," Masino responded.
And just like that, the backlash against the announcement put Masino on her heels, and now all those changes she was so excited to enact have been halted.
This is a great lesson for the right for the future. You are not alone. For years, it felt like the lesson for conservatives was to just go along to get along. And that is how we ended up with the gender insanity being pushed to kindergarten kids and men playing against women in female sports.
Speaking out is the only way to stop the woke remodel of your favorite store or your country.
