There was an eyebrow-raising moment that occurred at the NATO summit in The Hague on Wednesday: NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte referred to U.S. President Donald Trump as "daddy" during a press conference. He was responding to Trump saying that he gets frustrated by Israel and Iran because they often act like "two kids in a schoolyard."

Trump continued, prompting Rutte’s memorable line:

"You know, they fight like hell. You can't stop them. Let them fight for about two-three minutes, then it's easy to stop them," he continued.

Rutte raised eyebrows when he interjected, "Daddy has to sometimes use strong language to get them to stop."

"You have to use strong language," Trump agreed. "Every so often you have to use a certain word."

Of course, the leftist media and the Euroweenies got their knickers in a twist and whined that the phrase was everything from “subservient and obsequious” to “tasteless.” So predictable.

But this isn’t your father’s White House, and they didn’t waste much time producing a funny video set to the Usher song "Daddy’s Home."

The video, which currently has over nine million views and counting, features Trump coming down the steps of Air Force One, meeting with world leaders at the summit, shaking the hand of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and more, all set to the R&B/pop music.

Of course, the liberal scolds were quickly out on force, and Cryin’ former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (D-IL) had to get in on the action:

Wow, Adam, do I sense homophobia? It certainly seems like it. Meanwhile, hopelessly biased ABC News correspondent Jonathan Karl scoffed, "An official product of the WH communications office —"

Ooh, that really hit hard, Jonathan.

Meanwhile, there’s another viral clip that is getting attention, and it involves Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Watch his reaction as a reporter asks Trump about the “daddy” moment. Priceless:

Rutte earlier had tried to calm the fauxtroversy by saying he didn’t mean it in the way that so many were taking it:

Rutte later told Reuters that he did not call Trump "daddy," but rather was using the term more metaphorically to describe the relationship between the U.S. and other nations.

"The 'daddy' thing -- I didn't call him 'daddy.' … In Europe, I hear sometimes countries saying, 'Hey, Mark, will the U.S. stay with us?' And I said that sounds a little bit like a small child asking his daddy, 'Hey, are you still staying with the family?'" Rutte told Reuters. "So in that sense, I used 'daddy', not that I was calling President Trump 'daddy.'"

It’s telling that so many liberal leaders are fixated on this one moment when there are so many important issues facing the world. Trump and the White House, at least, were instead able to have a little fun with it and in doing so, mocked the unserious, permanently furrowed eyebrow crowd.

Speaking of funny viral videos, I've been getting a kick out of the AI "Trump as baby" posts. Enjoy:
