NextImg:'What a Difference': Revisiting a Cringe Kamala Harris Memorial Day Message and the Catostrophe Dodged

Earlier, my RedState colleague Nick Arama wrote about an interview former Vice President Kamala Harris did on Sunday at the 2025 Australian Real Estate Conference, where she predictably took subtle digs at U.S. policy under the Trump-Vance administration and criticized Tesla CEO, Twitter/X owner, and DOGE advisor Elon Musk.

Harris, who is also reportedly mulling a 2026 California gubernatorial run, also made despicable but predictable insinuations about the Trump White House and Nazi Germany, stating "I do worry that it is important that we remember history. It’s important that we remember the 1930s."

"It’s important that we remember that history has taught us that isolation does not equal insulation," Harris, who has insulated herself from any and all criticisms related to her role in the scandalous cover-up of her former boss Joe Biden's decline while he was president, also proclaimed.

While Nick was spot-on in the assessment that the interview was a reminder of "how lucky we are that she lost" to Donald Trump in November 2024, another timely reminder of that is also making the rounds on Memorial Day.

As RedState reported on Memorial Day weekend four years ago, Harris was rightly blasted after posting a message about the solemn day where we are supposed to be remembering our fallen military heroes in which she initially made herself and the "long weekend" the focal point and not the heroic sacrifices of our men and women in uniform.

For those who missed it, here's what was shared on social media:

Perhaps in response to the backlash, a tweet reflecting on the service and sacrifice of the U.S. military was added to Harris’ Twitter/X account the following morning, stating, "Throughout our history our service men and women have risked everything to defend our freedoms and our country. As we prepare to honor them on Memorial Day, we remember their service and their sacrifice."

But it was too late. The damage had been done.

Harrison Fields, who was the comms director for Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) at the time but who now works as the Trump White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary, kindly shared a reminder for Harris in response:
