Chaos erupted in New York on Friday, as ICE agents attempted to detain an illegal alien who had exited an immigration hearing. Video from FNTV showed presumed activists and ICE agents mixing it up, though the latter quickly gained control of the situation. The illegal alien resisted arrest and was thrown to the ground, where multiple masked officers wrestled to get handcuffs on him.
He was eventually subdued and walked into an elevator. Some of the ICE agents appeared to be in plain clothes, acting undercover, perhaps as a way to approach unassumingly so the illegal alien couldn't flee. One lady could be yelling, "This isn't necessary," as the scuffle ensued.
Several people can be seen trying to block the ICE agents in the video, with at least two physically pushing and shoving, based on my viewing. The Trump administration has not been lenient on those who take action to obstruct immigration enforcement, and for good reason. The hammer has to be dropped, or the left will simply be emboldened. You've already had the Democrat House Minority Leader threatening to reveal the identities of ICE agents, so the level of danger is high.

ICE agents have faced escalating harassment, including death threats, for simply doing their jobs. The last thing they need to be doing is having to physically engage left-wing activists who believe the law doesn't matter.
Showing up at courthouses to detain illegal immigrants has become a favorite strategy of the Trump administration. If you search social media, you can find dozens of videos taken just over the last few days showing various arrests of illegal aliens.
The concern would be that illegal aliens will simply stop showing up for immigration hearings, but I'm not sure ICE has much of an alternative. A lack of resources means that taking the straightest path to the end goal makes the most sense. I'm sure the strategy will adjust as needed, though.
The public nature of these arrests also strikes me as purposeful. The administration wants this to serve as a deterrent, and having videos go viral is the best way to get the word out. With Trump in charge, ICE is going to enforce the law, and those who stand in the way will have to face down the DOJ and possible charges. Ask Judge Hannah Dugan of Milwaukee about that.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
