NextImg:WATCH: Humiliated Would-Be Robber Walks out of Atlanta Nail Salon After Customers Ignore His Demands

Has it really come to this? Have citizens of America’s larger Democrat-run cities become jaded by everyday robberies to the point of ignoring the threatening demands of apparently-armed robbers? Jaded to the point of leaving humiliated fools to walk away in frustration?

That appeared to be the case in Atlanta recently, when a would-be robber entered a nail salon and began making demands while pointing either a concealed handgun or something he believed looked like a handgun directly at waiting customers—every one of whom appeared unfazed by the whole thing.

“Everybody get down! Give me your money! Give me your money!” yelled the suspect, in a video captured on the salon’s surveillance camera. , Yeah, no. If anything, the people looked bored. The guy then turned his attention to a man who appeared to be the salon’s owner. His response to the suspect was to simply fiddle with his phone.

So, what’s a would-be robber to do when his threatening demands are ignored by would-be victims, who seemingly couldn’t care less about the guy and his demands? In this case, look around in confusion and frustration, and slither out the door in humiliation.

Crime Stopper Greater Atlanta posted the following on its social media accounts:

Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Robbery Unit are asking for assistance from the public in an ongoing investigation.

On July 3, 2023, officers responded to 2625 Piedmont Rd. NE (Nail1st) in reference to a business robbery. Witnesses indicated the suspect entered the location wearing a blue hat, sunglasses, and blue jeans. The suspect demanded the patrons get on the ground and surrender their money. The suspect then fled the location in a silver in color sedan.

Information can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or online at www.StopCrimeAtl.org. Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspect.

No word if the would-be robber told his robber buddies about his terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

As unsurprisingly reported by Callaway Security in May 2023, Atlanta’s crime rate is above the national average:

Atlanta has a higher violent crime rate compared to the average. However, it’s crucial to note that the majority of these crimes occur in specific areas. Understanding the city’s safe neighborhoods and the locations with higher crime rates can help you make informed decisions and mitigate potential risks.

In terms of property crimes, Atlanta, Georgia, also experiences rates higher than the national average. Theft, burglary, and motor vehicle theft are all examples of property crimes. Being aware of the safe areas and taking necessary precautions can help protect you and lessen the chance of becoming a victim of a property crime.

However, the Nail First salon is located about eight miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, which raises the musical question of why the salon’s customers didn’t fear for their lives and promptly hand over their money in response to frustrated dude’s demands.

Then again, maybe the “jaded” thing extends beyond just the crime-riddled areas of Democrat-run cities.
