Former FBI Director James Comey is a truly twisted character.
He appeared on Jen Psaki's MSNBC show Friday evening. He's still doing his book tour.
Psaki asked him what he thought about cuts to the DOJ Office of Public Integrity.
The Trump team has been cutting staff and expenditures across departments to downsize government and improve the process.

Comey claimed those folks made sure that prosecutions were consistent with the law. Then, even as he's trying to argue they're objective, he attacks Republicans, showing exactly where he's at.
"I know Republicans these days aren't thinking about principle or precedent,” he snarked, probably the last person with any credibility to talk.
He continued:
"They're going to be deeply sorry that that disappears because someday there will be a Democratic president and there'll be investigations of Republican officeholders. If I'm them, I sure would want these career people in place making sure that it's done in the right way."
Is that a threat? Or does he think that's what Democrats will do?
First, the gall of this comment after the efforts against Trump. But those are "D" -- different -- I guess. We've already had to deal with Democrats targeting opponents. To act like it's Republicans upending norms is pretty hilarious. But Comey can't seem to hold his mouth, he's so full of himself.
Second, I don't doubt that Democrats would investigate Republicans if they got back in power, they already crossed that bridge. That's another reason we should never vote them back into power.
Third, if Comey is upset about cutting things from the Office of Public Integrity, then that's another signal it's a good thing.

He claimed that he didn't understand it could refer to killing someone, that he understood it could be a restaurant term. Yet he thought it was a political message. I don't think too many people are buying his explanation that he didn't know the violent aspect. So his defense is that he's ignorant of the term. Not such a great defense when he's the former head of the FBI.
Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) put it as only he can with what he thought of him at the end of this clip.
