NextImg:Update: Woketivist Who Spit on Ed Martin May Have Just Made an Even Dumber Move

In early May, and while he was still the acting US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Ed Martin had the unpleasant experience of being spit on during the course of a street interview.

As RedState reported at the time, Martin was talking to a reporter about President Donald Trump withdrawing his nomination for the position due to opposition from Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC), as well as the new role Trump appointed him to in the administration, when a deranged woman walked up behind Martin and said a few words before spitting on his shoulder.

"Who the f*** are you? You are Ed Martin!" she shouted before commencing with the despicable act. "You are a disgusting man!" the woman was also heard yelling as she casually stomped away from the scene of the crime.

As we also reported, the suspect, Emily Gabriella Sommer, made it easy for herself to be found and arrested after admitting to the act in spam posts directed at Martin on Twitter/X:

Though she was charged on May 22nd with "assault and resisting or impeding a government official," unfortunately, she was released without bail the same day, with one of the release conditions being no contact either directly or indirectly with Martin or any other alleged victims/witnesses.

According to the new acting US Attorney for DC, Jeanine Pirro, Sommer has since violated the terms of her release in recent Twitter/X postings to both Martin and Pirro herself, and Pirro is asking the judge in the case to revoke her conditions of release:

Prosecutors found that Sommer, posting from her X handle with the display name “lefttits,” this week tagged Martin and wrote, “My property has essentially been seized and I do not have the basic necessities nor money to provide for myself nor my dog. F*** you, Ed… but since you’ve once again made me hostage in this city, I’ll make sure it eats you alive and spits you back out, like the felony ‘assault’ you’ve alleged, wit your punk-ass-b****-cuckold-neo-beo-no-brained-Neaderthal (no shade to actual non-Sapiens) cracka a**, jive-turkey redneck from the Midwest.”

[...]

“Lmaooooo @JudgeJeanine is the bish that took your job. That’s gotta hurt. And she’s got so much trash talk comin her way too, don’t worry bish, you’ll get it too,” she wrote, according to court papers.

Based on the conditions set forth during Sommer's initial court appearance, it looks like Pirro has just cause to make this request:

The Defendant’s release order contains the following statement, which the Defendant acknowledged at the initial appearance: “Violating any of the foregoing conditions of release may result in the immediate issuance of a warrant for your arrest, a revocation of your release, an order of detention, a forfeiture of any bond, and a prosecution for contempt of court and could result in imprisonment, a fine, or both.”  ECF No. 8, Pg. 4.

The government's full revocation motion, which includes screengrabs of the tweets in question, can be read here.

You know, I'm not sure why pre-trial detention wasn't requested, considering it seems like Sommer made a point of tracking Martin down on the street outside of the courthouse and then, according to her admission, spitting on him. That sounds disturbingly stalkerish, in my view, and extremely troubling in a day and time where radical leftists have ramped up the violence, something which so-called Democrat "leaders" have by and large refused to condemn.

But in addition to what she did to Martin, Sommer also allegedly lashed out at and assaulted the two deputy U.S. Marshals who arrested her, according to the Pirro motion:

In the course of the arrest, the Defendant kicked and spit on one Deputy United States Marshal and kicked another Deputy United States Marshal.

The motion also noted that additional charges may be sought over the alleged assaults on the marshals as well as the additional tweets Sommer is said to have written to Martin and tagged Pirro on.

Between her admittedly spitting on Martin, her alleged actions towards the arresting officers, and now this, in my opinion, it sounds like Sommer has more than earned some time in the slammer. We'll keep track of developments and keep you posted on what happens next.

By the way, here's the video of the incident for anyone who missed it:
