


As RedState reported, a gunman opened fire at Fort Stewart in Georgia on Wednesday. The attack took place in an area dedicated to the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, with the shooter being taken alive.

A press conference has now been held, during which the identity of the alleged assailant was revealed, along with details about his background. His name is Quornelius Radford, a Sergeant in the U.S. Army.
According to Brigadier General John Lubas, five people were injured in the shooting. Three underwent surgery and are now recovering. Everyone is expected to survive. Several soldiers who were witnesses to the shooting rushed in to take down Radford, ending the threat and detaining him for the authorities.
The shooter was arrested for DUI in May of 2025, and he used a personal handgun to carry out the attack. Other aspects of his service record have not been released yet, and no motive has been publicly commented on by the authorities as of this writing. The FBI is now heading up the investigation, with further information expected to come out over the next few days.
