Among the first choices President Trump made, after the November 2024 election that swept him back into the White House, was who should represent his new administration in the role of spokesperson for the State Department. He named Tammy Bruce, and it's easy to see why.
RedState previously wrote about her tireless work speaking on behalf of the U.S. priority of extraditing illegals who have committed heinous violent crimes against American citizens from their home countries to the United States to face justice. Here's one such clip from March showing Bruce at work:
Then as my colleague Teri Christoph wrote about a May State Department press briefing, Bruce has been "unapologetic about the efforts of the administration to apply stringent vetting to anyone wishing to temporarily or permanently make the U.S. their home."
BRUCE: What I can remind everyone of, which we've discussed for months here, is that we use every tool in our tool chest to vet anyone coming in who wants to come into this country and, in order to do so, has to apply for a visa to gain access to our nation. So, every sovereign country has a right to know who's trying to come in, why they want to come in, who they are, what they've been doing, and at least, hopefully within that framework, determine what they will be doing while they're here. So, that's nothing new. And we will continue to use every tool we can to assess who it is that's coming here, whether they are students or otherwise.

On Saturday, Trump shared in a post on his Truth Social account that he's nominating her for an even more prominent role -- this time while helping represent the U.S. at the United Nations.
"I am pleased to announce that I am nominating Tammy Bruce, a Great Patriot, Television Personality, and Bestselling Author, as our next Deputy Representative of the United States to the United Nations, with the rank of Ambassador," he wrote. "Since the beginning of my Second Term, Tammy has been serving with distinction as Spokesperson of the State Department, where she did a fantastic job. Tammy Bruce will represent our Country brilliantly at the United Nations. Congratulations Tammy!" Trump added.
Bruce responded to the president's announcement on her X account, thanking him for trusting her to continue "advancing America First leadership and values...on the global stage":

She ended her message of gratitude with emojis representing the American flag and a heart. Seems appropriate! Good luck to her as she moves through the nomination process in Congress.
