President Donald Trump cracked up his Cabinet meeting on Tuesday when he shared how he ended up nabbing what he called a "gorgeous grandfather clock" from Secretary of State Marco Rubio's office after he decided he had to have it.
Speaking to members of the press during a Cabinet meeting that lasted almost two hours, Trump took questions on a variety of issues, ranging from the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill (sorry, not sorry, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY)) to Operation Midnight Hammer in Iran. However, near the end of the meeting, Trump appeared to slip into his classic "weave" mode and began remarking on personal changes he had made to the White House decor.
"As President, if I go into the State Department, Department of Commerce, or Treasury, if I see I see anything I like, I'm allowed to take it," Trump claimed, and those in the room responded with laughter. "Would you believe this?"
"So, I'm in Marco's office [at the State Department], I see this gorgeous grandfather clock...I said, 'Marco...' he didn't know about this; I had to read him the rules and regulations," he added. "I said, 'Marco, I love this clock. Look at it. It's beautiful.'"
"He said, 'What clock?' 'The clock that's in the other room is incredible,'" Trump continued. "'And nobody gets to see it there. Marco.' I tried to talk him into it first, and it sort of worked. And then I had to use a little more...I said, 'I'd love to take that clock out and put it in the Cabinet room.' He said, 'No, are you serious?' I said, 'Marco, I have the right to do it, Marco.' And he said, 'All right, what the hell.'"
Trump then put his hand on Rubio's shoulder, who was laughing about the story, and said, "That's his contribution to the Cabinet room. By the way, it's an incredible clock."
Somehow, discussing the interior decorating of the Cabinet room led the president to reflect on the fact that when it comes to frames and pictures, he's a "frame" guy.
"I love the frame of those pictures," Trump said, referencing pictures in the room. "Look at those frames. I'm a frame person. Sometimes, I like frames more than I like the pictures."
While liberals have yet to learn about Trump's assertion that if he sees something, he can have it, we expect some kind of over-the-top reactions to it. And will bring it to you once it happens.
Ahead of President Trump's swearing-in as the 47th President of the United States, his official portrait was unveiled, sending the usual liberals into meltdown mode, as RedState's Rusty Weiss reported.

He wrote:
"In just four days, Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States and JD Vance as the 50th Vice President of the United States — and their official portraits are here," the team said in a statement.
And man, if you needed evidence that 47 isn't messing around, this is it. This portrait is as based as you'll ever see.
Just look at that thing. Trump should coin the look "red steel."
My colleague Becky Noble has also reported on the decorative changes in the Oval Office for Trump's second presidency.

She wrote about how the "Oval Office" conveys "something about the current occupant," and with Trump, it clearly conveys American strength.
The art chosen is one way to do that. For Donald Trump, some of those works of art include a portrait of George Washington over the fireplace, replacing the sizable portrait of Franklin Delano Roosevelt that Biden had hung there. On one side of that portrait hangs another of Alexander Hamilton, America's first Treasury Secretary, and on the other side, a portrait of Thomas Jefferson. Returning to the "Oval" is a bust of Winston Churchill that Joe Biden had removed when he took over in 2021. There is also a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. that is a favorite of both Biden and Trump and will remain in the Oval Office. On the mantel sits two new silver eagle figures.
Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into the "Golden Age" as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
