Good morning, and welcome to RedState's "Morning Minute" — a brief glimpse at which stories are trending at the moment and a look ahead at what the day may bring. Consider this your one-stop shop for news to kickstart your day.

'I'm Black—You're Not': CNN Panel Explodes Into Ragefest As 'The View's' Ana Navarro Loses Her Mind

As in most of the broadcasts Ana Navarro appears in, she comes across as a dim-witted force of hate and division.

DEA Nominee Just Nuked Democrats’ Argument on Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s Tattoos

The tattoo link isn't necessary to prove Abrego Garcia's gang affiliations, in the end, when two separate judges have already done so. But it's good to have an expert calmly torch the false narrative with reality, just in case.

Kamala Harris Gave Her Big Comeback Speech, and Holy Cow

So yeah, Harris is not only the same person she's always been, but she's managed to get worse. Good luck with that in 2028.

Illinois Democrats Introduce Bill Banning Sale of Glock Handguns

Blaming Glock for the criminal misuse of its product is like blaming Kia for thieves stealing their vehicles, or blaming Budweiser for drunk drivers.

Europe's Problem With Trump Is That He Tells Them the Truth

They are no more in the right than an addict who complains that their enabler is no longer funneling them cash to feed their habit.

Jesse Watters Humiliates Jessica Tarlov in Heated Debate Over MS-13 Gangmember

That was brutal... and so necessary. Unfortunately too many people on the left care more about the narrative than the facts.

There's a Reason Why the Liberal Media Says Trump's First 100 Days Are Disastrous

It’s a battle between normalcy and the lizard people.

Just For Fun: Typo About English Requirement for Truckers Leads to HILARIOUS New Driving Tests

So, we are all in support of an English literacy test for America's truck drivers. And we'll bet they are too.

As for a literary test, well, that may be A Bridge Too Far.

Today on Capitol Hill...

It won't be quite as busy on the Hill today — only a handful of meetings/hearings set

House Republicans are still wrestling with the reconciliation package and have their work cut out for them. But it looks like they're faring better than their Dem counterparts.

White House What's Up

It's another busy day for President Donald Trump — but then when isn't it? First up, he'll participate in a National Prayer Day event in the Rose Garden. Then he'll receive his intelligence briefing. In the afternoon, he'll participate in the swearing-in ceremony for the U.S. Ambassador to Italy, Tilman Fertitta. Then he heads to the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa to deliver remarks at their commencement in the evening before heading to Mar-a-Lago.

At Wednesday's Cabinet meeting, Vice President JD Vance highlighted one of the key successes of the administration's first 100 days:

He also broke a tie in the Senate to put the kibosh on the effort to clip the wings of Trump's tariffs.

Keeping Up With the Cabinet

Wednesday's Cabinet meeting was a fun one, so I'm just going to take this space to share a few of the highlights from it. (There are so many, it's hard to choose!)

Full Court Press...

Wednesday was another busy day at SCOTUS, with another decision handed down (in Feliciano v. Department of Transportation) and a fascinating oral argument regarding religious charter schools.

In other court-related news, former First Son Hunter Biden has now dropped his bogus lawsuit against the IRS.

And for the latest developments in the ongoing litigation involving the Trump administration, check out the leaner, meaner version of the Evening Docket.

As noted above, President Trump will be delivering remarks at the University of Alabama's graduation ceremony this evening — that should be a fun one to watch!

Also today, per the White House:

Vice President JD Vance and the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Lee Zeldin will travel to Huger, South Carolina, to tour Nucor Steel Berkeley, a steel manufacturing facility. Vice President Vance and Administrator Zeldin will deliver remarks highlighting America's manufacturing renaissance during the first one hundred days of the Trump Administration.

I guess I never really thought about it much — the distinction between May Day and "Mayday!" Both came to mind this morning for...what likely are obvious reasons. I'm not, thankfully, in distress, other than being a bit confounded by the fact that we're already a third of the way through 2025. They say life comes at you fast, but it shoots past you even faster.

Now, those inclined to celebrate May Day (in the International Workers' sense, not the "It's Spring!" sense) may be feeling some distress of late, given that their ideological agenda is not in sync with the current administration's. But...I'm okay with that.

Awww....oops!
