After an initial wave of what at least appeared to be introspection, Democrats are right back to either obfuscating how senile Joe Biden was as president or outright lying about it. The biggest scandal in American presidential history is too inconvenient for them, and why should they act accountable when no one is going to hold them accountable?
Even Jake Tapper's much-hyped book, "Original Sin," fails to name any names of those who took part in the cover-up, no doubt because the press itself was part of it. The guilty parties get to maintain deniability and move on to their next grift. Time moves on, and what Biden and his handlers perpetuated on the country becomes more of a distant memory.

Still, a newly leaked memo provides a fascinating look at the turning point in Biden's 2024 re-election campaign while also providing evidence of just how senile he was.
The worst political advice in the history of the world is an apt description. Perhaps the former president's handlers were too confident in the drug cocktail team, but I'm failing to see how anyone could have seen Biden during that period and concluded he needed to commit to any debates, much less two. The timeline is also odd. Why push so hard for a debate in the late Spring (it ended up being early summer) with the option to back out of the second debate (which was probably always the planned outcome)?
The excuse given is the Olympics and family vacations, but they could have easily proposed that the first debate be in September, which would have been more in line with historical norms. For example, Mitt Romney didn't debate Barack Obama for the first time until October. Likewise, the first debate between Biden and Donald Trump in 2020 was in late September.
I suspect the real reason Biden's handlers wanted that early debate is that they were well aware of how badly he was crashing, both mentally and physically. To wait until October would run the risk of his condition getting even worse, to the point where they felt like they couldn't hide it. Of course, we all know they ended up failing to hide it in late June as well, but it seems like they had convinced themselves he could make it through. Just before the debate took place, I wrote an article detailing the overconfidence coming from the Biden camp and how it was setting them up for failure. That turned out to be prescient on my part.
With that said, the other thing that stands out about this memo is that it uses all-caps to spell out "you" and "your." The obvious reason for that is that Biden was so far gone that he would get confused if his handlers didn't go over the top to delineate that he was being addressed. There's no other logical explanation, and we've seen this odd capitalization gambit before. One of the most infamous examples involved Biden having a cheat sheet at a press conference that contained the not-yet-asked question of an LA Times reporter. On it, "you" and "your" were put in all-caps.
This stuff is like looking at a museum exhibit at this point. It's interesting to see how deep the scandal went, and frustrating to know we'll never get any real admissions from the people most responsible.
