The Reid Is Out: Joy Delivers Her Final Monologue, and It's Exactly the 'Fascist' Dreck You'd Expect

We here at RedState have been relentlessly slamming former MSNBC anchor Joy Reid over her richly deserved firing. It’s not because we’re nasty people who enjoy the suffering of others; it’s because Reid is a bitter, divisive personality who did everything in her power to widen the racial divide in this country. It’s beyond the pale that NBCUniversal let her peddle her hate-filled spewings for as long as they did.
Some ask, why do you cover what people like her have to say—no one cares. Unfortunately, that’s not true; many people on the other side care, and the legacy media is still a powerful force in shaping opinion and arguably had as big a hand as anyone in giving us four disastrous years of Joe Biden.
You must know your adversaries to counter your adversaries.

It was a tough day for Ms. Reid, as she bawled relentlessly on a podcast and claimed, “My show had value.” Its main value was provoking race-based division and promoting conspiracy theories. RedState’s Brad Slager took notes and compiled an excellent compendium of her greatest most unhinged hits, which you can find here.
On Monday evening, thankfully, she dropped her last monologue on “The ReidOut,” and it was everything you would have thought it would be: hysterical, fear-mongering, and of course, it wouldn’t be a Joy Reid speech without her calling anyone who disagrees with her a “fascist”:
"We begin tonight with what I think is the question; when you are in the midst of a crisis and specifically a crisis of democracy: How do you resist– when fascism isn't just coming, It's already here? So, what, if anything, can you do about it?" Reid began her show Monday. "For one thing, you can try to learn from history, from what people in this situation, in countries around the world and in America have done before. As my friend Rachel Maddow always says, history is here to help."
"The first rule is to fight back, to never stop resisting. Do not obey in advance, as [anti-Trump historian] Tim Snyder put it… Even if it's scary or uncomfortable or inconvenient, just keep saying no. Or finding creative ways to say no in small ways and large," she later said.
Reid was later joined by her "comrades in arms" Rachel Maddow, Nicolle Wallace and Lawrence O'Donnell, who all showered her with praise. Reid closed her show by thanking a lengthy list of staffers.
Somebody didn’t send her the memo: the Resistance is fading this time around and seems mostly deflated, defeated and uninterested. That’s because they used everything in their power—including the Department of Justice, censorship, Big Tech, and Big Media – to convince you that progressivism was the answer. Yet, American voters were finally given their chance to speak in November and basically said, “Go to hell with the lot of you.”
Leftists love to run around screaming that Donald Trump and Co. (and you, presumably, if you’re reading RedState) are “fascists.” But what exactly is fascism? Here’s what Merriam-Webster has to say:
Fascism : a populist political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual, that is associated with a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, and that is characterized by severe economic and social regimentation and by forcible suppression of opposition.
Questions naturally arise: who often puts “race above the individual?” That would be Joy Reid. Who tried to forcibly suppress the opposition? That would be Joe Biden with his weaponized DOJ and his censorship regime. The fascism argument is yet another lazy attack that the left throws out daily, along with claiming everything they don’t like somehow has something to do with the Nazis, a party that hasn’t held power since the 1940s.
Goodbye, Joyless. I have a strange feeling this will be the last time I will ever be typing your name.
Major shakeups are occurring across mainstream media networks as radical, left-wing talking heads like Joy Reid, Lester Holt, Jim Acosta and more are being shown the door. The leftist media are losing the ideological battle for America in real-time.
