NextImg:So, 50 Cent Gets Called Out by Socialist Mayoral Candidate - Does It Matter in New York?

Do you remember back in the day when we used to sometimes wonder where celebrities would come down on a somewhat controversial issue?

Well, not too far back in our distant past, we had people who would give their opinion, then get called out and switch back due to peer pressure or something else. In the case of rap star 50 Cent, he has been all over the board.

Bless his heart.

From the great Brandon Morse of RedState, who wrote here not too long ago about 50 Cent and his opinions on stuff concerning politics...

Handler, self-appointed manager of the black population in America, said she reminded Jackson that he was black and that he can’t vote anything but Democrat because that’s apparently something black people aren’t allowed to do according to her. Instead, he should get back in line and influence others to do the same.

“He doesn’t want to pay 62 percent of taxes because he doesn’t want to go from 50 Cent to 20 Cent,” said Handler. “I had to remind him that he was a Black person, so he can’t vote for Donald Trump, and that he shouldn’t be influencing an entire swath of people who may listen to him because he’s worried about his own personal pocketbook.”

Jackson tweeted out the video with a strongly worded message about his thoughts on Trump, including a tinfoil hat accusation that Trump set his friend up to be killed.

“Fu*k Donald Trump, I never liked him,” said Jackson. “For all I know he had me set up and had my friend Angel Fernandez killed but that’s history.”

He finished up the tweet about the Scarface character being killed with a “LOL.”

Can't blame the guy, can you?

Back in 2020, when 50 Cent first came out in support of Trump, the statement above by Chelsea went into effect, and she got him to change his point of view, not because he lives in fear of Handler, but because he knew better and didn't want to live in fear.

So, how long until he changes on this?

Rapper 50 Cent fires back at NYC Dem socialist candidate after being name-dropped in tax plan

He added, "I know if 50 Cent is listening, he's not going to be happy about this. He tends to not like this tax policy, but I want to be very clear this is about $20,000 a year. It's a rounding error. And all of these things together, they make every New Yorker's life better, including those who are actually getting taxed now."

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, later responded to Mamdani’s comments on Instagram.

"Where did he come from? Whose friend is this? I’m not feeling this plan. No. I will give him $258,750 and a first class one-way ticket away from NY. I’m telling Trump what he said too!" 50 Cent wrote.

Ouch.

Is this what being rich and influential in New York City is like? I live in Michigan so I have no idea of what it's like to be rich and influential in New York, but damn. If this is the type of stuff that those kids have to go through, you can sign me up for a month or so on that.

Then, of course, I would get bored and want to move along.

We here in Michigan are more like Illinois than we are Ohio or Indiana, and I'm not saying this to brag, but actually so that you feel bad for us in a way. We vote more in line with Wisconsin and Illinois than we do Ohio or Indiana. I'm not bragging about that, I'm saying it because statistically it's more of a fact, and I want you to feel sorry for us.

Please feel sorry for us.

How long until Chelsea calls 50 up and tells him what to think on this? When she does, will he fold, or will he stand up for his comment to a socialist running for Mayor in New York City?

Only time will tell.
