Remember George Zinn, that... person, who tried to distract cops, to mislead them away from Charlie Kirk's murderer? He's a real piece of work, it turns out (he's a piece of something else, too, but this is a family-friendly site). Last Wednesday, after he attempted to distract the cops - thankfully, in the end, he was unsuccessful -  he was briefly detained and then released.

Well, later on Tuesday, we learned that George Zinn is in trouble again. Now he's being hit with child pornography charges.

The elderly rabble-rouser who allegedly hindered Utah authorities’ response after Charlie Kirk was fatally shot is now accused of keeping “graphic” sexual photos of children on his phone, according to law enforcement.

George Zinn, 71, was charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor Monday after investigators found more than 20 images of kids as young as 5 years old, at least partially naked and “posing” in a “sexual” way, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Tuesday.

“Zinn admitted … that he gets sexual gratification from viewing and sharing [child sexual abuse material] images with others, and that his preferred victim age is 5 to 12 years old,” the agency alleged.

That is some sick, twisted stuff right there. One wonders: Will Antifa canonize this guy? Also in this update, we learn that Zinn is reportedly being charged with obstruction of justice.

Zinn, who is a political “gadfly,” is also facing a charge of obstruction of justice after he allegedly admitted to screaming that he shot Kirk on a Utah college campus Wednesday in a bid to help the actual shooter get away.

He was quickly taken into custody at Utah Valley University with that detention paving the way for the child porn charges, the sheriff’s office said.

What a sick, twisted old pervert.

The whole thing came to light when Zinn was, while in custody, taken to the hospital for an apparently unrelated medical condition, following which he allowed agents to examine his phone.

The alleged senior citizen sicko was initially hauled off to campus police headquarters, where he refused to cooperate, but was soon taken to the hospital for a medical problem, authorities said.

He ‘fessed up to not being the shooter there, and investigators successfully requested if they could take a look at his phone.

As he handed it over, Zinn admitted to state and federal agents that he uses the electronic device to check out inappropriate images of children, the sheriff’s office said.

“Those Agents did see several images on the phone of prepubescent girls scantily dressed,” the agency said.

And this guy was out there last Wednesday to protest Charlie Kirk? He would have done better to have listened to Charlie.

Look, there are plenty of people on the political left who rightly abhor child pornography. But just look at the optics here: On the one hand, you have Charlie Kirk, a young, devoted husband and father, a model citizen by any measure, who was talking with people - engaging in conversation - and on the other hand, you have an old child-porn collector, a leftist rabble-rouser with a long history of causing trouble - not to mention a twisted young assassin, whom the sick old pervert was attempting to protect.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds that this makes Charlie's murder even more intolerable.
