We've written about how the U.S. strike on Iran's three nuclear sites on Saturday was such an epic military operation, from the incredible operational security and deploying decoys, to how well the operation was carried out, completing all the strikes within 25 minutes, and reportedly, getting all our people out safely without even being fired on.

It was so well done, you even had something that you rarely ever see: what appeared to be praise or at least an acknowledgment of how well it had been done from MSNBC host Jonathan Capehart. Savor this, it's them having to admit reality.

Capehart said some things about the description of the strike "jumped out" at him.

"One, the level of secrecy of the mission...that you had planes that flew for 18 hours from Missouri with multiple refueling in the air [that's just to get there, not counting coming back]. The second thing, what jumped out to me was the execution of this massive, massive plan involving the U.S. military, seemingly in multiple theaters. This decoy you were talking about went to the Pacific to take away from what was happening the other way."

The other thing he was stunned by was how "no Iranian planes flew and no shots were fired at any of the U.S. military jets that flew," referring to remarks on Saturday morning from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine. "All of that to me, just from what they're telling us, is rather impressive," Capehart asserted.

I might fall over in amazement at that, and the fact it was a basic fact assessment, not suffused with negative opinion.

But it also tends to blow up what we hear so often from Democrats and folks on the left, including some of the folks on MSNBC, who paint President Donald Trump badly and have painted Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth as out of his depth. Compare their incredible competence to Joe Biden's failures in Afghanistan or Barack Obama's red lines, which our enemies stepped over because of his weakness.

We finally have a commander in chief who is, in fact, a commander in chief, and will make a tough decision and do all he can to keep our people safe while ensuring the mission's success in the process. That's what "peace through strength" is. Places like Taiwan, for example, are resting easier today because China is looking at this and thinking: We don't want to tangle with any possibility that might involve Trump. And that makes us safer. We will, no doubt, have some reactions from Iran, as we saw with reports about them wanting to close the Strait of Hormuz.

What we won't have is a nuclear weapon in the hands of a mullah death cult.
