As previously reported, it appears that the runaway Democrats will be heading back to Texas soon.
Texas state representative Gene Wu indicated that they were cracking as he whined about how hard it was for them to be away and hinted they would be back. Then came the local news report indicating that they would be returning for the second special session.

Now comes the amusing word that they have "issued demands" the way hostage takers might. They are unbelievable.
"Texas House Democrats will issue our demands for a second special session on Friday. Abbott can choose to govern for Texas families, or he can keep serving Trump and face the consequences we’ve unleashed nationwide."
Hilariously, they were trying to claim victory because Abbott didn't get the vote on his "racist maps" in the first special session, as well as trying to dictate what they want for the second special session. They claimed that they "fundamentally changed the rules of this fight" because they brought more attention to the issue, and California might respond with redistricting of its own.
Translation: we lost, we know we have to come back, but we're trying to make it look like we've done something. They haven't done anything except expose Democrat hypocrisy. And they don't have the ammo that they think they do.
And, as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott explained to Glenn Beck, California Gov. Gavin Newsom doesn't have the same options that Texas has when it comes to redistricting.
"[Newsom] is kind of like someone who shows up to a gunfight but forgot to bring the bullets because he doesn't have any bullets to shoot in this fight," he added...Texas can gain more ground than California can."
Then Abbott specifically responded to that post about their "demands," laughing at their embarrassing efforts to recast that they're out of options.
How embarrassing. Texas Democrats mailing in their "demands"... FROM CHICAGO.
Come back and fight like Texans rather than running and hiding like cowards.
They don't get to dictate - they have no more options.
Either they come back, and it passes, or they stay away and get their seats potentially vacated. Either way, it's the Democrats who created this situation, so they can't try to act like they're doing something noble when they're the ones who ran away and have left the work for the people hanging. They're the ones who are blocking democracy from happening.
