Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky, a popular figure among grassroots conservatives, has endorsed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis just one day after former President Donald Trump faced criminal charges in a New York City courthouse.

In a <a href="https://twitter.com/ShelbyTalcott/status/1643669412036190221" target="_blank">statement</a> released by the Never Back Down super PAC, which supports a DeSantis presidential bid, Massie called the Florida governor “a proven energetic leader.”
