While the left foams at the mouth as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrive in blue cities to apprehend criminal illegal immigrants, the mayors and governors of those cities insist that all is well, nothing to see here. But most of the residents who live in the affected areas of those cities are welcoming those ICE officers with open arms. Recently, Portland, Oregon, and Chicago, Illinois, have been where several of the most outrageous anti-ICE protests have taken place. But as those elected officials claim that crime in their cities and states is under control, one of them is finding out that the internet can often be problematic when you are trying to spin a narrative.
It’s no wonder Chicago’s murder rate is 330% higher than the national average under JB Pritzker. His conduct is directly contributing to domestic terrorists attacking our brave law enforcement. He is going to get someone killed with this trash.
Recently, former Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy appeared on "The Will Cain Show." McCarthy promptly made fun of one of Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker's latest shenanigans. Pritzker went to the neighborhood of Little Village. In an Instagram video, he rambled on about how safe he felt walking around the neighborhood, "talking to small business owners, and patrons of those small businesses." Pritzker then dropped a snarky comment about how there was “no emergency, so Donald Trump understands, [there’s] no emergency to send troops in."
However, there's just one problem, as McCarthy points out:
“JB Pritzker today put out another video in Little Village talking about how safe he feels. Well, Little Village is primarily a Hispanic neighborhood here in Chicago. That district is down about 55% so far this year in murder. Well, where do you think ICE has been working in Chicago since January?”
McCarthy also pointed out Pritzker's almost predictable hypocrisy in the video and added, "If he doesn't want the resources, he shouldn't go to a place where they are succeeding right now. It's really ironic. It just goes to show how little he knows about the city."
While the media is doing its best to float the notion that black residents do not want ICE agents or National Guard troops in the Windy City, that is not exactly true. Social media is telling a different story. Many black Chicago residents are very welcoming of ICE and National Guard troops, and know they are there to help.
In an attempt to look tough for a possible presidential run in 2028, JB Pritzker has engaged in a war of words with Donald Trump over the presence of ICE and the Guard in Chicago. Pritzker fired the first shot when he suggested that
“This is a man (Trump) who’s suffering dementia. This is a man who has something stuck in his head. He can’t get it out of his head. He doesn’t read. He doesn’t know anything that’s up to date. It’s just something in the recesses of his brain that is effectuating to have him call out these cities."

Trump fired back on Truth Social, “Chicago Mayor should be in jail for failing to protect ICE officers! Governor Pritzker also!” But Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson may not be playing tough guys for long. On his way home from the Middle East, Trump appeared to up the ante and stated that he could be open to invoking the Insurrection Act to quell crime in Chicago. When asked if he had a message for Pritzker, Trump stated:
"I think he should beg for help because he’s running a bad operation. He’s letting people be killed in his city because he doesn’t want to deal with Chicago. I love Chicago. Chicago can be a great city again — and very quickly. I’d have Chicago cleaned out, the criminals removed — we would remove them. You know, in D.C., we took out 1,700 career criminals — hardline criminals — and that’s why it’s so good right now. D.C. is setting records the other way; it’s never been so safe. Restaurants have never done better — they were closing, now they’re opening new ones."
Before JB Pritzker makes any more videos of himself strolling through neighborhoods, he might want to check the crime stats and, if they are low, find out why.
