President Donald Trump took questions from reporters about Charlie Kirk's murder and said he had spoken to Kirk's widow, Erika, who he said was "devastated."
Speaking outside the White House on Thursday afternoon, Trump took a series of questions from reporters after Kirk was killed by an assassin on Wednesday while he was at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, speaking to the next generation about Conservative views.

"I'm really concerned for our country," Trump said while speaking to reporters the day after Charlie Kirk's assassination. "We have a great country. We have a radical left group of lunatics out there. Just absolute lunatics. And we're going to get that problem solved."
In another clip, a reporter asked Trump, "How do you want to see your supporters respond to [Charlie Kirk's assassination]?"
Trump said, "He was an advocate of nonviolence. That's the way I'd like to see people respond."
Another reporter asked the president, "What do you think about the media that has justified the murder of Charlie Kirk?"
Trump answered, "I think it's terrible. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. It's terrible."
President Trump also took a question about the manhunt for Kirk's assassin.
President Trump says authorities are making "big progress" on finding Charlie Kirk's murderer, and says to stay tuned for a motivation.
"Uhh, I have an indication [on what the motivation was], but we'll let you know about that later," Trump said.

At one point, Trump said he had spoken to Charlie's widow, Erika, who is hurting.
TRUMP: "I spoke to Erika, [Charlie's] wife. We had a long talk. She's devastated. She's absolutely devastated. As you can imagine."
