On Thursday, President Trump held an event in the Oval Office to make a major announcement on the U.S. economy and how it's affecting everyday Americans and their families.

Helping him out during the event was commentator and economist Stephen Moore, who shared various charts highlighting the drastic improvement under Trump versus former President Joe Biden. But before he got to those data points, he addressed something that's gotten many on the Left upset in recent days--Pres. Trump's firing the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

Moore said it was exactly the right move, calling out the major overestimation of job creation over the last two years of the Biden administration as "a gigantic error" and "incompetence":

From newly released data from 2024, Moore compiled a chart showing real family income under the first Trump term and President Joe Biden's term":

"Even taking into account President Trump's last year in 2020 [falling during COVID], we saw a $6,400 real after-inflation gain for the average family," Moore said, "and that compares with Joe Biden, which was a measly $551."

"So, Mr. President, you gained 10 times more income for the average family than Joe Biden—it's because of your policies."

They moved on to what Moore called an "advance look" at not-yet-released Census Bureau data, showing "month by month" how much household income has already risen during Trump 47:

"I was telling the president, in his first five months in office, starting in January through the end of June,  the average median household income (adjusted for inflation) for the average American family is already up $1,174.00," Moore said.

Calling it an "incredible number," Pres. Trump added, "If I would've said this, nobody would have believed me. We're doing well!"

Then, in a chart showing how all Americans fared economically under both Biden and Pres. Trump, Moore says that it was "fascinating" how income was affected positively by Trump:

"Every single income group did better under President Trump," he said, "but what's really amazing is, look what happened under Biden. The lowest income group lost income...they were poorer, four years after Biden's presidency. No gain whatsoever for the middle class, and the rich was the only group that did better under Biden."

Moore said it was ironic that leftists go on and on about "income inequality," when Biden "made income inequality worse, not better."

To cap things off with an exclamation mark before heading to the East Room of the White House for an event honoring our servicemembers, the president let one chart speak for itself:
