Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Peter Doocy had an absolute field day torching former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre's attempts to rewrite history and her involvement in the Biden cover-up with her new tell-all book.
Speaking to "Fox & Friends" on Thursday, Doocy reacted to the news of KJP's tome titled "Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines," in which she claims that she's done with the Democratic Party after working in former President Barack Obama and former President Joe Biden's administrations.
"You know, it's like I had a dream, and I opened up the first page of her book about the 'broken White House,' and the first sentence says, 'Peter Doocy told me, and I didn't listen to him,'" Doocy cracked, as the cohosts agreed she should dedicate the book to him.
"The thing about this book is that she, towards the end, before Biden dropped out after Biden dropped out, she would say that legitimate questions were misinformation," he added. "And I told her once: 'You can't just call something that you don't like misinformation.'"
"So I don't know how she is going to square being the public face of saying things that we now know were not true about the president and about policies," Doocy continued. "I don't know how she's now gonna come out and say, 'you know what, just because I swore on camera that things were okay, actually here's what was really going on.'"
In a promotional release shared on X about KJP's book, the Hachette Book Group wrote that she "takes us through the three weeks that led to Biden abandoning his bid for a second term and the betrayal by the Democratic Party that led to his decision," RedState reported.
It also claims that Jean-Pierre's book highlights the "importance of dismantling the torrent of disinformation and misinformation that has been rampant in recent elections and provides passionate insight for moving forward."
It's fair to say that KJP will not be reflecting on all the damage she caused by continuing to lie to the American people about the mental decline of her boss, whom she worked for from May 2022 to January 2025.
Doocy himself questioned KJP numerous times about Biden’s decline, which he broke down in a series of clips showing him confronting Jean-Pierre and her acting condescending, shrugging off concerns, and lying to the American people, RedState reported.
The response from Democratic sources and former White House insiders about KJP's book has been swift and brutal.
"What her publisher means to tell readers is that she is INCOMPETENT, not independent. Just incompetent. But we don't need to read about it— we watched it," a prominent Democratic source said.
"Put this 'bombshell' at the top of the Trump book-burn pile. Right next to Jake Tapper's own toothless tome," the source added.
The report went on to list more:
Another top Democrat exclaimed, "I can't look away" when asked for their reaction to the forthcoming work.
One ex-official who worked with Jean-Pierre said that the press secretary's former colleagues had been "cackling in chats all day" and that they believe the pivot can be explained by "money."
One RedState report detailed comments from the left and in the MSM about the book.
It's sad that Biden stuck with Karine Jean-Pierre for all those years despite the fact she was not that great at her job, only for her to turn around and write a book about why she left the Democratic Party and is now an independent.
And this from Politico:
The attention-grabbing ploy lit up Democratic and Biden alumni texting groups and reignited frustrations that burned for years about Jean-Pierre, according to seven former Biden administration officials granted anonymity to describe private conversations.
One former official recalled that Jean-Pierre had joked about becoming an independent even while on the job in the Biden White House, an off-key comment for someone ostensibly serving as a major messenger for the Democratic Party. Another former official said that Jean-Pierre had begun working during the Biden administration with a New York-based publicist and had copied that person on official emails before some of Jean-Pierre's White House colleagues intervened.
"Everyone thinks this is a grift," the first former official said of Jean-Pierre's book project.
