NextImg:PBS Host Capehart Ludicrously Dons Tinfoil Hat, Reveals 'Rumor' Behind Trump's Response to LA Riots

In this episode of "Public Broadcasting: Your Tax Dollars at Work — For the Left"...

To no one's surprise, the left — from congressional Democrats to their lap-dog media to social media keyboard jockeys to intentionally low-information leftist rioters in the streets — remains apoplectic over President Donald Trump's actions in response to the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles, as well as Saturday's military parade in D.C. in honor of the U.S Army's 250th anniversary.

Needless to say — I'll say it, anyway — when people lose their minds, they also tend to lose the ability to think or act rationally.

The affliction hit Washington Post associate editor and regular contributor to "PBS Newshour" Jonathan Capehart hard on Friday, as he waxed absurd about the "real reason" behind Trump's response to the L.A. riots, as well as the military parade, which the president proudly attended.

What you're about to read might be boring to some — in the sense of "been there, done that" — but here's the thing: When leftist absurdity meets intentional stupidityI believe it's worth reporting, no matter how many times these loons make such fools out of themselves. As the irreplaceable Rush Limbaugh believed, the more we expose the left, the better — and I'm with Rush.

So here we go: Jonathan Capehart, gang, in all of his scaremongering silliness (emphasis, mine):

I think they're creating the political conflict because — I interviewed Minnesota State Attorney General Keith Ellison in the run-up to the anniversary, the fifth anniversary of the murder of George Floyd.

And he [Ellison] brought up on his own the rumor that the president was going to pardon Derek Chauvin. And the attorney general said that the president might do that as a distraction to larger goals

And one of the larger goals that the attorney general mentioned that has always been in the back of my mind is to create the conditions that would allow the president to invoke the Insurrection Act.

Boring, Jonathan. And why might Trump invoke the Insurrection Act?

And once the president invokes the Insurrection Act, all sorts of powers are handed to the president, you know, suspending elections, and other things, that, once you open that box, and particularly you open that box with this president and the administration and the yes-people he has around him, there's no going back.

That is among the reasons why I am so concerned about what we're about to see tomorrow.

Uh-huh — and what we saw on Saturday were patriotic Americans celebrating the strength and freedom of America, contrasted by lawless radicals intent on destroying America as we know it.

Left-wing projection would be hilarious if not for its violent responses to principles and laws it opposes.

As President Trump continues to make the left look like the fools they are — and more importantly, continues to win, in most cases, for the American people — TDS-riddled "journalists" like Jonathan Capehart smugly continue to howl at the moon in their little echo chambers — largely ignored by the rational among us.

How can you not love that?
