As RedState reported, Hunter Biden is back in the news again and, as per the norm, he did himself and his father, former President Joe Biden, no favors, unleashing expletive-filled rants about the Democrat movers and shakers who he feels betrayed his father in 2024, including actor George Clooney, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the Obama Bros, and others.
The younger Biden, as we also documented, embarrassed himself on other topics as well in his interview with journalist/influencer Andrew Callaghan on the latter's "Channel 5" YouTube page, raging against white men and running with the Democrat "who will pick our crops" talking point about illegal immigrants, stating that hotel beds wouldn't get made, dishes wouldn't be washed, and there will be no food on the table if illegal immigrants continue to be deported.
But it was things he says happened prior to the infamous June 2024 presidential debate that perhaps raised the most eyebrows - and questions - about Joe Biden's presidency.

Hunter Biden told Callaghan that the 81-year-old purported leader of the free world had at times been given Ambien to sleep:
"I know exactly what happened in that debate. He flew around the world basically, and the mileage that he could have flown around the world three times. He's 81 years old. He's tired as s***. They give him Ambien to be able to sleep. He gets up on the stage, and he looks like he's a deer in the headlights."
My colleague Rusty Weiss noted in his write-up that this was particularly concerning, considering what the fine print says about elderly people taking Ambien. Further, if he was indeed on Ambien, who wrote the prescription?
Ambien (Zolpidem) is described by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) as a "non-benzodiazepine hypnotic agent" used to treat insomnia. There are no public records from Joe Biden's doctors indicating he was ever prescribed Ambien. If it was, as Hunter claims, administered to him, one would have to question where it came from.
The NLM also warns that the drug reportedly given to the former President prior to a legacy-defining debate has special warnings for elderly patients, including an increased risk of "delirium."
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY), who is leading the investigation into who knew what and when as questions continue to be raised about the legality of Biden's executive actions, also turned up the heat after Hunter Biden's admission:
"This could affect his decision-making. And again, that's what this whole investigation is about," Comer said. "We call it the autopen investigation, but at the end of the day, it's about did Joe Biden have the mental wherewithal to know what was being used in the autopen to have his name signed on it."

"The fact that Joe Biden did an interview with The New York Times and said that — and admitted — that he didn't know who all those people were that [he] gave pardons," Comer said.
Biden "delegated that to staff," he added. "And now, with Hunter Biden saying his dad was on a very serious drug, then I think we've got even more evidence to suggest that Joe Biden had no idea what was going on in that White House."
Comer turning the screws in response and at such a critical time in the investigation was the likely impetus behind Hunter Biden now seemingly walking the statement back:
Hunter Biden later told ABC News' Jonathan Karl he was not saying that his father was taking Ambien immediately before the debate -- he was making a point about his travel schedule in the weeks before the debate.
"I have no idea whether or not he used Ambien while traveling through multiple times zones in the weeks leading up to the debate. My point was that his debate performance was completely out of character then and now, he said."

Not surprisingly, neither Joe Biden nor his handlers are commenting on the matter. But at some point - as has often been the case - Hunter Biden opening his mouth and proceeding to say the quiet part out loud about his powerful father is going to force the elder Biden's hand in the matter. It will be interesting to hear the legalese that will spew forth as they once again try to clean up Hunter Biden's accidental truths messes.
