One member of the Obama bros gang is at it again, but not in a good way this time.

Back in December 2024, just after Vice President Kamala Harris' dismal loss to then- former President Trump in the presidential election, stories started filtering out from Obama administration veterans like longtime speechwriter Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Tommy Vietor, and others, that they weren't exactly in lockstep with how Democrats have been running the country.

RedState's Sister Toldjah picked up on the thread in May, when Dan Pfeiffer, a former senior advisor to then-President Barack Obama, sat down with Chuck Todd to confess that he allowed himself to be fooled about just how much Joe Biden had degraded before the disastrous early debate with Donald Trump.

In late May, too, they reemerged from wherever they generally keep hidden to spread a red alert for the Democrat Party on "deep trouble" ahead, based on analysis of data by the Cook Political Report from an autopsy of the November election.

Not a Good Look: 'Obama Bro' Reveals How He Deluded Himself About Joe Biden Ahead of Infamous Debate

On the eve of "No Kings Day" on Saturday, one Obama bro poked his head back up from his hidey-hole to share something on his X account. Favreau decided it was the perfect time to disseminate blatant propaganda about ICE to inflame likely already-unhinged leftist mobs. Turns out, unsurprisingly, it was nothing more than fake news. As you can see below, the tweet read:

Horrific: learning just now ICE is raiding parks in the neighborhoods where our friends’ kids play. At an SM preschool, at Douglas Park, and Holmby Park — approaching nannies in unmarked trucks and unsuspecting clothing, then separating them from the children they’re caring for.

Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin quickly shut that noise down with facts in a post on X:

...who risk their lives to remove criminal illegal aliens including suspected terrorists, gang members, murderers, and rapists from American communities. The facts are that ICE, and our federal partners, are targeting the worst of the worst.

And just minutes ago, what did Favreau decide to tweet out? 

He says there's "some good news (for now)." And notice who he credits for that. Not the DHS official who correctly chastised him. No apology in sight--and it's too little, too late, as the narrative he wanted to get out there is floating around. Notice that he has not deleted the retweet post, even though it contains disinformation, and there was nary a peep from his account when Jake Levine (the original poster) made an update on "conflicting reports" almost 20 hours ago.

There's also a little thing Favreau would rather we not notice in his timeline--a reshare of a "No Kings" tweet trying to portray the event as nonviolent in nature. It doesn't matter. The fact is that the people who gravitate to the rumor won't see any "correction." I don't have to tell you that does not happen by accident. 

It might sometimes seem like all we do is little more than playing a game of Whack-A-Mole, but it's what our side needs to do against the lingering proponents of the lying Left. Kudos to the DHS official for quickly nipping this in the bud and dispelling the propaganda at its odious source.
