The reward for the arrest of the person who assassinated Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk just got bigger, thanks to a massive donation from his dear friend and advisor to President Donald Trump, Alex Bruesewitz.
Speaking to Fox News on Thursday, anchor Martha McCallum asked Bruesewitz about losing his friend after an assassin's bullet took his life while he was doing what he loves, speaking to college kids on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday.
"Well, Martha, it's been a really tough 24 hours, and I lost a friend of mine since I was 16 years old," Bruesewitz said. An Incredible woman lost her loving husband. Two beautiful children lost their father."
Kirk's pal got emotional the more he talked about his friend and said that "America lost the most impactful voice of our generation."
"And we honor him today. And we honor him every day moving forward," Alex Bruesewitz said. "And we will fight for him…but he's an incredible man. He's the nicest guy that I've ever met in my life. He would never hurt anyone. It breaks my heart it was him who got hurt."
"He only wanted to have conversations with people. He only wanted to debate people," he continued. "He didn't use violence. He didn't use violent rhetoric. He just spoke the truth."
Bruesewitz said his "heart breaks for Charlie and his family," before announcing that he was personally offering a donation to assist in the capture of the person who killed Kirk.
"I'm going to be giving a $25,000 reward on top of the $100,000 reward that's being offered by the FBI," Alex Bruesewitz said. "We need to get this killer. He's a sick guy who's gonna spend the rest of his life in Hell while Charlie's going to spend the rest of his life in Heaven, with our lord and savior, Jesus Christ."
The news of the increased reward followed one earlier on Thursday from the FBI about the search for the person or persons "responsible for" the killing.
